SCIENCE CAFÈ EVENTS

CittadiniThe main objective of LIFE FRANCA is to promote a culture of flood risk anticipation and prevention in the Alps and prepare the population to face natural disasters, realising that complete safety cannot be guaranteed.

In parallel with the exhibitions, informal meetings with citizens have been organized on the issues addressed by the project.
The Science Café events usually take place in informal settings like cafes and pubs, they are and open to everyone. Researchers will be invited to discuss with participants about their work or a particular scientific topic.

For each of the three exhibitions of the cycle Nature in motion, a cycle of three Science cafés was organised.
During these events  experts on hydrogeological risks, prevention and anticipation met the public in the informal setting of the MUSE Cafè and described some of the themes illustrated in the exhibition.
Overall, 9 science cafés were organised with 328 participants.
